Public Hearing Notice

At 3:30PM on Friday, September 20, 2024, a Public Hearing will be held in room 107 (County Board Room) of the Forest County Courthouse located at 200 East Madison St., Crandon WI.  This hearing will be held for the Forest County Board to take public comment on the proposed 2025-2027 Commission on Aging Plan, the Integration of the ADRC of the Northwoods and the Commission on Aging and the Proposed Forest County Human Service Department.     

Both written and oral testimony will be entered into the record and considered.  All interested persons wishing to be heard are invited to be present or give written testimony at or prior to the hearing. Original materials may be viewed in the County Clerk’s Office (ADRC and COA Integration & Human Service Department) and the Commission on Aging Office (2025-2027 Plan) on the first floor of the courthouse or e-mailed to any interested party upon request. 

A copy of the 2025-2027 Commission on Aging Plan may be reviewed prior to the hearing at the County Courthouse during the following times: (M-F 8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m.) in the Commission on Aging office.

A copy of the Integration of the ADRC and Commission on Aging and the Forest County Human Service Department may be reviewed prior to the hearing at the County Courthouse during the following time: (M-F 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.) in the County Clerk’s Office.

A copy of the Forest County Human Service Department may be reviewed prior to the hearing at the County Courthouse during the following time: (M-F 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.) in the County Clerk’s Office.

The plans are also available on the County’s website, http://www.co.forest.wi.gov.

Prior to this hearing, notice was given to the public by posting of notice on the west and east entrance door of the Forest County Courthouse.  Towns were notified by regular mail.  The notice was posted to the web and the media was notified on Friday, August 30, 2024.  Every effort will be made to reasonably accommodate persons with special needs.   Please contact this office at 715-478-1387 to address your concerns.
