Public Hearing for Forest County’s
Plan on Aging
2022-2024
NOTICE OF
PUBLIC HEARING
The Forest
County Aging Unit will be conducting public hearings for presentation of and
comment on the 2022-2024 Forest County Aging Plan. Public hearings will be held
at these following times and locations*:

Wednesday,
September 22nd at 12:00 p.m. at the Laona Senior Center, 5277 Linden Street in Laona
·
Tuesday,
September 21st at 11:30 a.m. at the Armstrong Creek Community Building, 7860
Old 101 Road in Armstrong Creek.

Monday
September 20, at 12:00 p.m. at Crandon Community Building. (City Hall),601 West
Washington Street in Crandon
·
Thursday,
September 23, at 11:30 a.m. at the Wabeno Town Hall, 4473 North Branch Street
in Wabeno
·
Thursday,
September 23 at 4:00 p.m. at the Alvin Town Hall, 16942 Highway 55 North in
Alvin
The purpose of
these public hearing is to provide an opportunity for citizens of Forest County
to comment and provide input on the Aging Plan draft. A draft of the 2022-2024 Forest County Aging
Plan is available for examination at the Forest County Clerk’s Office, 200 East
Madison Street in Crandon from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Due to Courthouse renovations, public access
will be limited. To obtain a copy of the
plan you can either contact the County Clerk’s office at (715) 478- 2422 and
arrange a time to pick a copy up or you can review the plan on the Forest
County Website at http://www.co.forest.wi.gov/. Copies of the Aging Plan will also be
available for viewing one hour prior to the start of each hearing at the
location of the hearing.
Input received
by members of the public at these hearings will be considered in the
development of the final draft of this plan. The final draft will be presented
for approval at the Forest County Aging Commission on Aging Committee meeting
scheduled for 1:15 P.M. October 5th, 2021 at the Crandon Public Library Lower Level.
