The Forest County Fair has been a family tradition for well over 100 years with our exhibitors bringing in their exhibits and helping us to showcase the talent and hard work that takes place throughout our county every year. We want each of you to know that we value you and your annual contributions as they are the heart of the county fair. It is through your hard work, that our buildings are full and beautiful, which makes your safety our first priority. With this in mind, we have been carefully watching the current public health emergency and considering how to best move forward with this year’s fair while ensuring the health and safety of our volunteers, exhibitors and the general public.

While we hoped that things might improve by September and we could at least move forward with a modified event, it has become more and more apparent that COVID-19 and the public health emergency across our country is not leaving any time soon. It is with that realization and a heavy heart that the Forest County Fair Board has made the difficult decision to cancel the 2020 Forest County Fair.

We feel that it is important to take this opportunity to assure all of our exhibitors and others who visit the fair, that this is a temporary set back meant to protect the health and safety of the residents in our county and we will be back at the historic Forest County Fairgrounds with a bigger and better celebration in 2021.

In the meantime, please continue to use your fair exhibitor books to prepare items to exhibit in 2021 and also check out our Facebook page for some special virtual activities as well as ways to stay connected in this time of uncertainty. We would also like to encourage all of our past exhibitors to watch the exhibitor’s Facebook page for some virtual contests and fun. We would not let 2020 pass by without connecting and having some fair fun virtually!

Thank you all for your understanding and continued support of the Forest County Fair. We can’t wait to see you all in person September 11th, 12th & 13th, 2021!
